‘Double Jeopardy’ Off to a Winning Start

“Double Jeopardy,” a film about a woman framed for the murder of her husband, starring Ashley Judd and Tommy Lee Jones, topped the box office with $23.2 million in ticket sales.

“Jakob the Liar” opened to only $2.1 million, while “Mumford” made its debut with ticket sales of $1.9 million.

Meanwhile, basketball star Dennis Rodman’s new film, “Simon Sez,” limped down the court, grossing $185,472 in limited release.
