* Site--Rose Bowl.

* Radio--KRLA (1110), KNTQ (1020, Spanish).

* Records--Galaxy 18-11 (48 points), Rapids 19-9 (47 points).

* Record vs. Rapids--1-2.

* Update--Before last Saturday’s matches, Colorado Coach Glenn Myernick declared his Rapids the favorites to win the Western Conference title. “We have maybe the best chance of any team in the conference to finish first,” Myernick said. “I think we have the best chance because of the number of games we have left. We play L.A. and Chicago [on Oct. 6], who are both sort of in our way.” Colorado also has a game in hand; the Rapids have three games remaining after tonight, the Galaxy two. Galaxy Coach Sigi Schmid is contemplating two lineup changes for tonight’s game: Clint Mathis for Simon Elliott at left midfielder and Steve Jolley for Paul Caligiuri at central defender. Mathis replaced Elliott at halftime during Saturday’s 2-0 loss to D.C. United.
