“Erin Brockovich” continues to have great legs as it adds $13.8 million to its coffers for a three-week total of $75.8 million. The new DreamWorks animated musical, “The Road to El Dorado,” opened in second place with a disappointing $12.8 million. The romantic comedy “High Fidelity” debuted with an impressive $5,435 per screen average.
*The Jimmy Smits boxing drama, “Price of Glory,” was knocked out in its first week--it didn’t even place in the Top 10.
