With a $182,000 boost from an annual spring fund-raising event, the Pegasus School’s new multipurpose activities center will be ready for students by the 2000-01 school year. The $4-million project should be complete by June.

The multipurpose center will house a theater, gymnasium, teacher lounge and locker rooms. The project also includes renovation of the soccer and hockey fields and a new hockey rink, said Betty Friedrichs, public relations director.

The school took out a $3.2-million loan to start the project, she said. With fund-raising events, a financial gift from the Weingart Foundation, annual campaign and support from the school’s community, the goal is almost reached.
