The city’s Public Safety Committee was asked by the City Council on Tuesday to offer a recommendation on what to do with the Vida Drive and Francisco Drive Neighborhood Preservation Plan. A group of the neighborhood’s residents approached the council about two years ago to help with safety concerns caused by cut-through traffic in the neighborhood. The residents have offered a plan for a stop sign and median that would slow traffic and would cost an estimated $60,000.
