Railroad tracks on Western Avenue will be removed by Union Pacific Railroad within the next 30 days. The tracks between Cerritos and Katella avenues are no longer used by the railroad company. Their removal will provide a smoother route for cars on Western Avenue, Community Development Director Mark Lloyd said.
