DMV Office Closed for Renovations
Drivers who usually visit the Department of Motor Vehicles Winnetka field office will have to drive a little farther for the next few months.
The office closed Monday for renovation and will not reopen until July 10, DMV spokesman Evan Nossoff said.
New heating, venting and air-conditioning systems at the building in the 20700 block of Sherman Way will be installed, he said.
Most of the 46 Winnetka employees are being transferred to DMV field offices in Van Nuys and Simi Valley, and the rest to offices in Thousand Oaks and Arleta, Nossoff said.
For the past several weeks, the department has redirected road test appointments to those offices, he said.
