Driver OK After Crash
Steve Dyer of Rancho Palos Verdes was knocked unconscious when the rear end of Bret Carlson’s truck smashed into the driver’s side of his truck on lap 26 of the American Race Trucks race at Irwindale Speedway on Saturday night.
Dyer was conscious and able to answer questions from track medical staff after being loaded onto a stretcher. He was transported to County USC Hospital for precautionary reasons.
The race was called after 28 laps with Mike Mocaby of Bell Gardens declared the winner.
