Nine residents will vie for three open seats during today’s City Council election.
The three incumbents are Victory Kay, Brenda B. Ross and Ann M. Snider. The hopefuls include Robert Bouer, Helen Mencher, Jan Nelson McLaughlin, Juel Andersen, Jacqueline Carey and Mary Stone.
Residents can vote from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at every Leisure World clubhouse, City Clerk Meg Monahan said.
Afterward, a machine will count the ballots inside Leisure World’s administration board room. During the counting, unofficial election results will be posted on the city’s Web site, at https://www.lagunawoods city.org.
