ANAHEIM
The City Council on Tuesday approved the purchase of four new cardiac monitors-defibrillators--costing $26,286--for the Fire Department. The department currently has older models of the device that will be used as backups. Cardiac monitors-defibrillators are used to gauge patients’ cardiac rhythms and, if necessary, electronically shock the heart into a normal rhythm.
