The City Council directed its staff to obtain a formal response from the Savanna Unified School District on building a skateboard park on district land.

The Community Services Commission had recommended the Stanton Municipal Tennis Courts, property owned by the district, as a possible site. However, City Manager Terry Matz said the district may not want the park because of liability issues. In the event the district rejects the council’s request for a park, council members asked that properties owned by Southern California Edison or the Orange County Transportation Authority be considered.
