THE SAFETY ZONE: ACTION LOG

The Times publishes a daily list of police incident reports provided by local law enforcement agencies. The Times prints items as soon as departments make them available. Because many departments release incident reports only weekly, not every community will be represented in each day’s Action Log. Authorities from the following cities released incident reports Tuesday:

ANAHEIM

* Gilbert Street: A petty theft was reported in the 10000 block at 10:29 p.m. Monday.

DANA POINT

* Granada Drive: Deputies spoke with a resident who was holding a loud party in the 34000 block at 1:30 a.m. Saturday. The resident agreed to end the party.

GARDEN GROVE

* Magnolia Street at Katella Avenue: Police conducted a driver’s license and drunk-driving checkpoint from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Police impounded 51 vehicles, issued 104 tickets for various traffic violations and arrested two people for outstanding warrants.

HUNTINGTON BEACH

* Magnolia Avenue at Hamilton Avenue: Police said a man who was drunk in public was throwing food at people at 4:29 p.m. Saturday.

* Pacific Coast Highway at Brookhurst Street: Police said a man was poaching gulf shrimp in the wetlands at 4:27 p.m. Saturday.

LAGUNA BEACH

* Allview Terrace: A resident reported a snake’s nest holding six eggs was in his backyard in the 500 block at 10:12 a.m. Monday. It was later determined to be a bird’s nest.

LOS ALAMITOS

* Katella Avenue: A cell phone was reported stolen from a store counter in the 5000 block at 6:05 p.m. Thursday.

NEWPORT BEACH

* Pembrook Lane: A cellular phone valued at $150 was stolen from an unlocked car in the 1100 block between 4 and 5 p.m. Saturday.

ORANGE

* Pearl Avenue: A burglary was reported in the 18000 block at 3:08 a.m. Sunday.

* El Salvador Avenue: A fraud was reported in the 18000 block at 4:52 p.m. Saturday.

SAN CLEMENTE

* Calle las Bolas: A barbecue was stolen from the front porch of a house in the 1600 block at 10:50 a.m. Sunday.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO

* Calle Lucana: A bench and an umbrella stand were stolen from in front of a house in the 26000 block at 2:15 p.m. Saturday.

STANTON

* Cedar Street: Fraud was reported in the 11100 block at 3:56 p.m. Tuesday.

TUSTIN

* Lucero Way: A prowler was reported in the 18000 block at 10:56 p.m. Saturday.

VILLA PARK

* Villa Woods Drive: A report of trespassing in the 900 block at 4:44 p.m. Saturday.

Authorities from the following cities did not release incident reports: Brea, Buena Park, Costa Mesa, Cypress, Fountain Valley, Fullerton, Irvine, La Habra, La Palma, Placentia, Santa Ana, Seal Beach, Westminster and Yorba Linda.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department makes incident reports available on the Web. Go to https://www.ocsd.org and click on “Sheriff’s Blotter.”

Incident reports are updated every few minutes and cover the cities of Dana Point, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Stanton and Villa Park, as well as the county’s unincorporated areas.
