Razov’s Goals Lead Fire’s Rout of Mutiny

Ante Razov scored two of Chicago’s four second-half goals as the Fire routed the Tampa Bay Mutiny, 5-1, before 9,090 at Soldier Field on Friday night.

Trailing 1-0, the Fire tied the game in the 26th minute, when Peter Nowak took a return pass from Jesse Marsch and fired a shot past Tampa Bay goalkeeper Scott Garlick.

The Fire (3-3-1) jumped ahead two minutes after halftime, as forward John Wolyniec scored off a pass from Lubos Kubik, and Razov made it 3-1 in the 53rd minute after Diego Gutierrez’s cross.

Razov then assisted on Kubik’s goal in the 71st minute and capped the scoring with four minutes left with help from Nowak and defender Evan Whitfield.

Tampa Bay (4-4-0) took an early lead when defender Steve Trittschuh scored his first goal in the 15th minute. Chris Snitko started in goal for Chicago.
