* Update--The Galaxy received a setback Friday when it was announced that newly signed forward Sebastian Vorbe, 23, would not be eligible to play in today’s game because of immigration problems. The Haitian national team and former Florida International University player has not received a work permit. The MetroStars are coming off a 3-2 overtime victory against defending MLS champion D.C. United in Washington. The Galaxy’s most recent game was a 1-1 tie against Chivas de Guadalajara in a Wednesday exhibition at the Rose Bowl. Los Angeles has won its last three games at the Meadowlands and four of six all time in New Jersey. The MetroStars have not won successive games since the first two matches of 1999. In seven games against New York/New Jersey, Cobi Jones has five goals and five assists. Los Angeles leads the all-time series, 8-3, and has outscored the MetroStars, 25-12.
