Wife Free on Bail in ‘Springer’ Killing
The wife of a man accused of killing his ex-wife after their love triangle was aired on “The Jerry Springer Show” was freed on $25,000 bail in Sarasota, Fla. Eleanor Panitz had been held as a witness in the slaying of Nancy Campbell-Panitz. The husband, Ralf Panitz, remained held on a first-degree murder charge. All three appeared on a “Springer” episode that was broadcast July 24. A few hours after the show aired, she was found beaten to death in her Sarasota home. Ralf and Eleanor Panitz surrendered to authorities Friday.
