Woman Dies After Car Is Hit by Truck
A Thousand Oaks woman died Friday morning after her car was broadsided by a truck as she tried to cross Rancho Conejo Boulevard, authorities said.
Anne Liu, 26, was driving her Pontiac Firebird westbound on Lawrence Drive when she tried to cross Rancho Conejo about 7 a.m., authorities said. Liu was struck as she pulled out from a stop sign into the path of a northbound Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Christopher Arbogast, 28, of Camarillo. Liu, who suffered massive head and chest injuries, was pronounced dead at the scene, coroners officials said.
Authorities said neither excessive speed nor alcohol appeared to be a factor.
