Man, 21, Shot to Death While Walking Near Home

CARSON — A 21-year-old man was shot to death as he walked down the street late Thursday, police said Friday.
The man was walking about 10:50 p.m. on Anchor Avenue at 223rd Street near his residence when the shooting occurred, said Los Angeles Sheriff’s Sgt. Brenda Cambra. Two men in a dark blue or black Honda Civic pulled up to the man and one of the car’s occupants fired, Cambra said.
The man was shot in the upper torso. He was pronounced dead at a hospital, Cambra said.
