Anniversary of Tragedies Remembered

Marking the one-year anniversary of shootings allegedly carried out by an avowed white supremacist, friends, family and colleagues of slain letter carrier Joseph Ileto on Thursday unveiled a bronze plaque in his remembrance at the Chatsworth Post Office. Ileto was gunned down as he delivered mail in a Chatsworth neighborhood, allegedly by Buford O. Furrow Jr.

In Granada Hills, staff at the North Valley Jewish Community Center gathered for a tree-planting ceremony at the Rinaldi Street campus, where Furrow allegedly walked in and opened fire on a summer day camp.
