Luis Ricardo Amendolla Gasparo, 72, well-known Mexican watercolorist who painted his nation’s landscapes and culture. Amendolla Gasparo exhibited his works in Mexico City, Los Angeles, Houston and New York and in Guatemala, Japan and Korea. He also created and displayed murals in various U.S. cities. A native of Mexico City, Amendolla Gasparo was praised for his large watercolors showing images of his countrymen at work and play in Mexico’s scenic settings. He was married to artist Sarita Felix. On Monday in Cuernavaca, Mexico, of pneumonia.
