The City Council recently voted to limit the length of time a resident could serve as chair and vice chair of the Community Activities and Beautification Committee to two consecutive one-year terms. The limit previously had been for two two-year terms. The council also implemented a one-year waiting period before past officeholders could serve as chair- or vice chairpersons again.
