The city’s director of development services, Joyce Rosenthal, told the Planning Commission on Tuesday that Placentia’s redevelopment plans in no way include bulldozing any building that serves as a home--regardless of what the zoning for the area might be.
Members of the Planning Commission were interested in looking at the different redevelopment options open to the city. A study of the Orange Freeway corridor, released in a draft form last month, will be updated and re-released soon with suggestions of how the city might redevelop some of its blighted areas.
