Seven people were injured Friday afternoon, including a woman and two children, when an MTA bus collided with a car in Northridge, authorities said.

The accident happened about 3:30 p.m. at White Oak Avenue and Plummer Street, said Bob Collis of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

According to a preliminary investigation, two cars collided at the intersection, knocking one into the path of the bus, police said. The bus skidded and slammed into the car carrying the woman and children.
