* Update--The Galaxy, which clinched a playoff berth with a 3-0 victory over the Earthquakes on Saturday in San Jose, is three points behind the Western Division-leading Kansas City Wizards with three games to play. It is two points ahead of the Chicago Fire as both attempt to gain home-field advantage in the playoffs. Galaxy winger Cobi Jones and forward Luis Hernandez will miss tonight’s game while with the U.S. and Mexico national teams, respectively. Los Angeles has not lost to San Jose in their last seven games. The Earthquakes, already eliminated from playoff contention, have not scored more than one goal in 13 consecutive MLS matches.
