Trojans Win Their Third in a Row

USC won its third consecutive game, defeating UC San Diego, 70-56, Saturday at San Diego as four Trojans scored in double figures.

USC (3-2) opened the second half with a 23-6 run that gave the Trojans their biggest lead, 61-43.

The Toreros (2-1) used a 17-2 run in the first half to take a six-point lead, but USC managed to take the lead by halftime, 34-31.

Denise Woods scored 16 points and had seven rebounds for the Trojans and freshman Jessica Cheeks added 13 points. Amber Jensen led San Diego with 18 points.
