Death Toll Rises to 46 in Train Wreck

Railroad workers using blowtorches and cranes to remove the wreckage of two trains that collided in northwestern India found additional bodies under the debris, bringing the death toll to 46, a news agency said. Rescue workers continued to cut through the mangled remains of the coaches a day after the Amritsar-bound Howrah Mail Express hit a freight train in dense fog in Punjab state.
