Post Offices Extend Hours for Holidays
For procrastinators and those simply pressed for time, the United States Postal Service is extending hours at several San Fernando Valley post offices.
Dec. 18 is expected to be the busiest mailing day of the season since many people will finish up their shopping on Dec. 16 and 17, the last full weekend before Christmas Eve and Hanukkah.
To make the holidays a little less hectic, the Postal Service has extended hours at several area post offices. For example, the Glendale Main Post Office on Broadway will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, in addition to Dec. 18.
The following post offices will be open today and next Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.:
* 2140 N. Hollywood Way, Burbank.
* 135 E. Olive Way, Burbank.
* 8201 Canoga Ave., Canoga Park.
* 5805 White Oak Ave., Encino.
* 313 E. Broadway, Glendale.
* 9534 Reseda Blvd., Northridge.
* 14900 Magnolia Blvd., Sherman Oaks.
* 3950 Laurel Canyon Blvd., Studio City.
* 15701 Sherman Way, Van Nuys.
* 22121 Clarendon St., Woodland Hills.
