Driver Dies From Injuries in Car Crash
An 86-year-old Thousand Oaks man has died of injuries suffered in a Dec. 3 car crash on California 118 that also killed his wife.
Albert Lisi died at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday at Los Robles Regional Medical Center, authorities said.
His wife, Margaret, 79, died at Simi Valley Hospital shortly after the collision.
California Highway Patrol officials said Albert Lisi lost control of his car as he drove westbound in the far left lane at about 8 p.m. Dec. 3. Witnesses said he flashed his left turn signal and headed into a dirt center divider before careening across the freeway and slamming into a concrete bridge support at the Sycamore Street overpass. The couple were wearing seat belts.
