Reward Offered in Vandalism of Synagogue
The county Board of Supervisors approved a motion Tuesday to post a $5,000 reward to find those responsible for scrawling swastikas, pentagrams and anti-Semitic messages on the Antelope Valley’s only synagogue last month.
Introduced by 5th District Supervisor Mike Antonovich, the motion will issue the reward to anyone who can provide information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects.
It also instructs the Los Angeles County Human Relations Commission to investigate the circumstances involving the vandalism and offer the congregation any needed assistance.
“This strikes at the heart of our community,” Antonovich said of the incident, which occurred at Congregation Beth Knesset Bamidbar on East Avenue J.
