The Garden Grove Unified School District will hold a Feb. 14 community forum on children and reading at the Los Amigos High School’s Little Theater at 16566 Newhope St. in Fountain Valley. Jim Trelease, author of the bestseller “The Read Aloud Handbook,” will provide tips to encourage children to read, suggestions for age-appropriate books and strategies for managing television viewing.
