Beach Bumming: Because I live in the South Bay close to the beach, I like to spend as much time there as possible. I love seeing the sunset over the water. I’m not into the Hollywood club scene. On Friday nights, I like to have a few friends over to barbecue. Afterward, maybe we’ll go out for a drink, preferably someplace with a pool table.

Inspecting Gadgets: Saturday is the day that I’ll leave the beach to go into Los Angeles with my girlfriend. I love gadgets and toys so you might find me at Good Guys or the Sharper Image or the Counter-Spy Shop in Beverly Hills. Usually we’ll stop in at Fred Segal for clothes for me, and then she likes going to the Giorgio Beverly Hills boutique because she likes the dresses and the people are nice.

Acting Out: Sometimes we stay in Los Angeles for the evening as well. The Los Angeles County Museum of Art is great because it runs classic movies that you never get to see on the big screen. I like to watch the performances and see what makes them hold up over time. If we’re ever in the mood for a play, we’ll go to either the South Bay Playhouse, or to the Court Theater in West Hollywood. I’m partial to it because my first work in Los Angeles was a role in “Playback,” which ran there.

Beach Cruiser: Sundays at the beach are great. I just got a brand new Cannondale bike and I love to ride the bike path along the coast. It goes from Palos Verdes all the way to Santa Monica. It’s the best place to people watch.

Mama’s Cooking: If I go out for dinner, it’s usually someplace very casual. I come from an Italian family, so I’m pretty critical about Italian food, but I absolutely love this place in Manhattan Beach called Mama D’s. Real home-style Italian cooking with a laid-back atmosphere. I’m quite partial to the veal Parmesan. In football season, hopefully I can make it home in time to watch the games.
