Pauline H. Judy; Retired Teacher

Pauline Helen Judy, a retired teacher, died Tuesday at the Venturan Convalescent Hospital. She was 78.

Born Sept. 17, 1921, in Aberdeen, Wash., she attended local schools and graduated from Aberdeen High School.

Later she became a medical office manager in Olympia, Wash. After moving to San Francisco, she became an instructor of medical office assisting.

She retired from teaching in 1968 and moved to Whittier with her husband, Robert Judy. Her husband of 20 years died in 1987 and she moved to Ventura about five years ago.

Her niece, Ann Filsinger of Ventura, said her aunt’s hobbies included oil painting and ceramics. She had a kiln at her home to fire pottery. Judy spent many happy days making pottery with her cat Crystal at her side.

Judy and her husband also traveled the world nine times and enjoyed entertaining at their home.

In addition to her niece, she is survived by a nephew, David Snyder of La Verne.

Services will be private.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Charles Carroll Funeral Home, Ventura.
