Thankful for the Rev. Barrell

* Re “Crime and Solace,” Feb. 1:
I found myself picking up the paper more then once to read the article about the Rev. Jack Barrell, a chaplain for the Tustin Police Department. I was deeply moved by this incredible human being.
The photograph of the distraught young man that the Rev. Barrell comforted brought tears to my eyes and then comfort.
The world seems like a better place knowing the lives the Rev. Barrell has helped, just by being there in a moment of despair.
