Gonzaga 103, Loyola Marymount 56--Casey Calvary scored 14 of his 16 points in the first half, as the Bulldogs jumped to a big early lead and extended it in the second half to defeat the Lions at Spokane, Wash.
Gonzaga (18-5, 8-0 West Coast Conference) won its 10th consecutive game and retained sole possession of the conference lead.
Loyola (2-19, 0-8) has lost eight in a row. The Lions saw Gonzaga take a 12-0 lead and got no closer than nine points the rest of the game. The Bulldogs led, 44-19, at the half after shooting 56% from the field (34 of 61).
The Bulldogs’ starters sat out most of the second half. Gonzaga’s biggest lead, 103-49, came with 1:36 remaining.
