The City Council on Tuesday will consider whether to approve a $300,000 loan agreement with the U.S. government for equipment to be used in case of a chemical, biological or nuclear attack. The Police Department has been participating in a training program with the Department of Defense to prepare for such attacks. The equipment includes personal protective gear, decontamination and detection equipment and training materials.
