The Local Agency Formation Commission will draft a letter to the city outlining the steps it needs to take to place Ladera Ranch and Las Flores within its sphere of influence.
The commission held a workshop Wednesday to discuss a number of issues concerning spheres of influence in South County. Dan Schwarz, a spokesman for the commission, said that although the commission took no formal action it recommended that agency executive officer Dana Smith inform the city of the prerequisites they must meet in order to amend their sphere of influence.
