The City Council is expected to approve funding Thursday for a crossing guard at Alma Aldea and Avenida de los Fundadores at its meeting Thursday.
The council, which favored placing the crossing guard at the intersection near Santa Margarita Intermediate School and Cielo Vista Elementary School, continued the item from its Feb. 3 meeting.
The cost for the crossing guard for one school year would be $10,350, according to staff reports.
