The City Council voted unanimously to approve a developer’s plan to build a four-story apartment and business complex in downtown Fullerton.

Community Multi-Housing Inc. is proposing a $24-million 192-unit apartment and office building with an underground parking garage on the northwest corner of Lemon and Commonwealth avenues.

Although the council had approved financing through the Affordable Housing Fund, the developer may or may not accept the funds. If the developer uses the $805,000, he would need to set aside 70 of his 192 units for moderate-income families.
