Coroner Seeks Help Identifying Man

Orange County coroner’s investigators said they need help identifying a pedestrian struck by a car in Santa Ana.

The accident happened in the 4700 block of West 1st Street shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The victim was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he was pronounced dead at 8:48 p.m.

The man was Latino, in his late 30s to early 40s, 5 feet 5 inches tall, with black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a light blue checkered Christian Dior shirt, blue pants and black Pro-Wing shoes.

The man had a bony prominence on his upper gum just above his teeth.

Anyone with information on the man’s identity is asked to call (714) 647- 7410.

It’s the second pedestrian death this year in the city, which has the highest pedestrian death rate of any city in Southern California.
