RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA
City staff and the Orange County Sheriff’s Department have determined that Rancho Santa Margarita receives basic police services worth a little more than $2.85 million per year. The county will continue to cover the cost of policing the community until June 2002.
Interim City Manager William Talley said that over the next two years the council will probably spend $1.1 million to $1.2 million more for additional police programs that have yet to be determined.
