SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO
Two people have applied to fill the vacant seat on the Planning Commission left by Diane Bathgate, who left the commission last month after she was appointed to the City Council to fill the seat vacated by Gil Jones.
Residents Gladstone Anderson and Raymond Turner have applied for the position, which is a one-year term.
The council is scheduled to select a new commissioner and reappoint the six current commissioners March 21. The application deadline is March 15.
