VENTURA COUNTY PEOPLE

* Mercury Software Solutions in Ventura has named Earl Whitaker its sales manager. Mercury is a certified provider of Solomon Software, an accounting program.

* Jim Matlock has joined JMG Security Systems in Fountain Valley as senior sales agent, with marketing responsibility in Ventura County and northern Los Angeles County. He has more than 20 years experience selling security systems.

Most recently, Matlock was business development manager with Security Technology Group.

* Maria Kohnke of Orange has been named registrar at Cal Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks. She comes to CLU from Chapman University, where she was an associate registrar for 13 years.

Kohnke has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s in human resource management from Chapman.
