PLACENTIA
The Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District and its local parent-teacher organizations have joined forces in a campaign designed to encourage parents to talk more with their children and become more involved with their schools.
The campaign slogan, “Get to the Heart of the Matter: Have You Talked With Your Child Today?” addresses one statistic that showed most parents talk with their child only seven minutes a day.
The monthlong campaign will be launched Jan. 31 with a special workshop planned for Feb. 23. Information: (714) 985-8402 or (714) 985-8460.
