As quickly as Capistrano Unified School District attendance boundary change options were revealed Monday, district officials began talk of “tweaking” them.

A series of suggestions could skew population counts districtwide, even while staff continue shuffling students to fill four new schools set to open this fall and ease overcrowding.

Supt. James A. Fleming said he’ll insist that older children and siblings of those targeted to move be “‘grandfathered in” to remain at their old schools.
