The city is offering two five-week horseback riding courses at the Huntington Beach Central Park Equestrian Center, 18381 Goldenwest St.

The first five-session course will be held every Tuesday from Jan. 25 to Feb. 22. The second course will be held every Tuesday from Feb. 29 to Mar. 28. The classes will meet from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

The class is open to teens and adults, who will learn basic riding and horsemanship skills. Class time includes arena and trail riding, horse grooming, care and equipment.

Boots, long pants and a safety helmet are required.
