LAGUNA BEACH
The City Council voted 3 to 1 on Tuesday to approve a restaurant’s request to serve distilled liquor in addition to beer and wine.
The Laguna Beach Brewing Co. will be able to serve liquor during business hours provided the kitchen remains open.
Councilman Wayne Peterson, who voted against the request, said increased liquor sales downtown would create more problems for police and discourage families and senior citizens from visiting the area.
