Ambassadors to Close Westlake Village Office
Ambassadors International of Spokane, Wash., which provides educational travel programs for corporations, said it will shut down its office in Westlake Village as part of a plan to close three locations and cut 30% of the workers in its performance group. The company said it will take an $8-million to $10-million fourth-quarter pretax charge for the restructuring.
Ambassadors officials said the company will get out of the meetings and incentive merchandising business and consolidate its convention services in Atlanta. Accounting will be transferred to Newport Beach. Officials said the moves will be completed by the end of February.
