HUNTINGTON BEACH
The League of Women Voters has extended the deadline to submit questions for a debate on a proposed Wal-Mart at Talbert Avenue and Beach Boulevard.
Residents have until Saturday to turn in questions they would like to have answered during the Jan. 20 debate. Although it is not open to the public, the debate will air on HBTV-3 from Feb. 1 through March 5, two days before residents cast their votes in a ballot initiative that aims to rezone the project’s planned site from commercial back to residential. The rezoning may prevent the retailer from building a 150,000-square-foot complex.
Send questions to P.O. Box 4134, Huntington Beach, CA 92605 or by e-mail to Coastwv@aol.com.
