The Planning Commission voted 3 to 2 on Wednesday to delay action on the Hotel Laguna’s request to convert two of its retail stores into a wine bar that also serves distilled liquor.
Commissioners postponed the matter, citing the hotel’s failure to notify neighboring businesses of its intention to serve liquor.
They also questioned the business’ ability to valet-park the expected cars.
The proposed bar would occupy 1,350 square feet with a seating capacity of 76.
The request will be discussed again Feb. 9.
