Devine Joins Law Firm’s Realty Division
* William R. Devine has joined the Orange County office of Pillsbury Madison & Sutro LLP. He will be in the environment and land-use practice section and will also work with the real estate practice section. Devine spent 13 years with Paone Callahan McHolm & Winton LLP in Irvine. He also served on the staff of the U.S. Department of the Interior in its Portland, Ore., and Sacramento offices.
* Diane Mayer has joined J. Rice Communications Inc. in Santa Ana as business development manager. She was formerly with Techmar Communications in Boston, Saligent Inc. in Colorado Springs and Inquiry Handling Service Inc. in San Fernando.
* Theresa Hope-Reese has been appointed vice president, human resources for Water Pik Technologies in Newport Beach. She was formerly vice president, human resources at Varco International Inc. In addition, Jeff D’Eliscu was named director, investor relations. D’Eliscu’s prior experience includes 19 years with Allergan Inc., most recently as vice president of corporate communications.
* Mario De Pasquale has been named vice president in the Costa Mesa office of Comerica Bank-California. De Pasquale joined Comerica more than five years ago in Detroit and has spent the last three years in Orange County.
* Janet R. Randolph has joined Right Management Consultants in Irvine as vice president-client services, organizational consulting. She was formerly vice president, human resources for CoCensys Inc. Randolph also held similar positions at Cordis Webster Inc., Sorin Biomedical and IBRD-Rostrum Global Inc.
* Douglass C. Watson has been named president and chief operating officer of GenSci Orthobiologics Inc., an Irvine-based subsidiary of GenSci Regenerations Sciences Inc. He was also appointed executive vice president of the parent company. Watson succeeds James M. DeMesa, who remains chief executive. DeMesa was named chief executive of the parent company.
* Richard Derevan is the new president of the Public Law Center of Orange County and chair of the Orange County Bar Assn.’s Appellate Law Section for 2000. Derevan is partner in the Irvine law firm of Snell & Wilmer LLP.
* Susan Spira has joined Cushman Realty Corp. as national director of Cushman Investment Services, the capital markets division. She is based in the Orange County office. Spira was previously a real estate attorney for Allen, Matkins, Leck, Gamble & Mallory.
