The City Council will consider transferring $20,000 to resurface a portion of the Los Rios Entry Plaza at the entrance to the Los Rios Historical District. The funds would go toward removing loose sand and decomposed granite from the south half of the plaza and replacing it with brick and terra cotta pavers similar to the north half of the plaza. Business owners in the area have complained that the loose sand gets tracked into the area and that there is potential for accidents. If approved, the motion would transfer funds from the city’s State Gas Tax Fund. The council meeting will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall, 32400 Paseo Adelante.
